K Movie Cataloger

I used Ant Movie Catalog for some time, but being able to use it only on Windows platforms is not something I like so I thought about creating my own version of Ant Movie Catalog that could be OS independent.

This is a movie cataloger heavily based on Ant Movie Catalog, AMC is already a very good software with all I need to catalog my DvDs and I want to give as much compatibility with AMC as I can.

Some basic features I'll have:

• Ability to import catalogs from AMC;
• Ability to use the existing HTML templates from AMC;
• Keep the same features that AMC version 3.5 offers.

General features to implement:

• Add, remove, manage and search movies;
• Statistics about the catalog and existing movies;
• Loan management;
• Printing;
• Get info from Internet using scripts;
• Import from CSV, XML and Excel files;
• Export to CSV, XML, and SQL;
• Use an internal database, through HSQLDB, a XML file or an external database, MySQL, MSSQL, or any other JDBC compatible database system.

The software is developed in Java and licensed under GNU Public License.
